Cargo Damage

We understand that cargo claims can be a complex and costly challenge. As your trusted local correspondent, our role is to provide expert assistance, not just to react. We deliver precise, on-site investigation (via our great network of surveyors) and strategic analysis to help you and your members navigate these disputes effectively. We act on your behalf, focusing on securing accurate information and coordinating all necessary actions to mitigate your exposure and protect your interests.

Our Role in Cargo Claims

Our expertise goes beyond a traditional reporting role. We provide comprehensive support by focusing on three key areas:

  • Swift On-Site Investigation: Following a claim, we promptly appoint a competent surveyor out of our own source (around 20 survey companies) and dispatch the surveyor to the scene to conduct a thorough investigation, documenting the extent of the damage, identifying the cause, and preserving all critical evidence, such as photos and on-site reports.
  • Insightful Analysis: We meticulously analyze all collected information, including Bills of Lading and other relevant documents, to provide you with a professional assessment of the claim’s validity and potential liabilities.
  • Strategic Coordination: We act as your local liaison, coordinating with surveyors and other experts to ensure all steps are aligned with your instructions and overall claims strategy.

Our Cargo Claims Process

We’ve developed a streamlined process to ensure every cargo claim is handled with maximum efficiency.

  1. Notification & Initial Response: You inform us of a claim, and the surveyor to be appointed from our network is immediately dispatched to the site to begin the investigation.
  2. On-site Survey & Investigation: We conduct a full on-site survey of the damaged cargo, collecting all necessary evidence and compiling an initial report.
  3. Documentary Analysis: We gather and review all relevant documents, including shipping contracts and survey reports, to provide a comprehensive analysis of the case.
  4. Strategic Advice: Based on our analysis, we offer strategic insights to help you determine the best course of action.
  5. Final Report & Resolution Support: We provide a detailed final report, supporting you through the resolution process until the claim is successfully closed.
