Mr. S R Kim, Director & Claims Head

Mooninsun P&I Support is delighted to announce that Mr. S R Kim, a seasoned maritime claims and insurance professional with over 24 years of experience, is to join our company. His extensive career spans key leadership roles at a major Korean shipping company and a substantial P&I Club in Korea, giving him a unique insider’s perspective on the maritime industry. This experience ensures that our clients receive not just expert service, but also strategic guidance tailored to their needs.

His career history demonstrates a proven track record of managing complex and high-stakes maritime matters.

Director & Team Leader, Korea P&I Club

He led the P&I Claims Team, where he managed all P&I and FDD claims, including those involving cargo, crew, pollution, and charterparty disputes. He also directed relationships with lawyers and surveyors.

General Manager & Group Leader, Samsung SDS

He led the Logistics Contract Group, overseeing contract management, cargo claims, and risk management. He also established and administered standards for trade sanctions compliance.

General Manager & Team Leader, Pan Ocean

During his long tenure, he managed vessel insurance, international maritime claims, and a significant number of ongoing contract disputes. He also provided consultation on maritime issues and managed international arbitration cases with firms in the UK.
